So Many Things to Do In West Palm, and So Few Hours to Post Them…

It’s about time I put some commentary to the dozen or so of new YouTube videos we have on our YouTube channel, covering West Palm Music and Community events…

Where to start? BB King’s Open Mic night is building more attendance every week, and there’s been some great players and great music. Big Vince and the Phat Cats host the night. It’s mostly blues with some bands dropping by… everyone who wants to play usually gets a chance.

The Veterans Day Parade was an impressive affair; I didn't have any idea that there would be over an hour of bands, twirlers, public servants, servicemen, floats and more traversing Clematis. And live music for the afternoon to boot!

The Monica McCall Band played for the event.

The City of West Palm is sponsoring sand sculptures thoughout the downtown area through December; they span from the waterfront to CityPlace, with many of them in storefront windows on Clematis and Rosemary. Here's the sculptor starting the one down by the waterfront:

Reef Road Rum Bar has one of our favorite bands there on Wednesdays, String Theory. The lighting leaves much be desired, but the audio is always great there.

Clematis by Night has had some great bands in November. The Terry Hanck Band is always a great band to dance to if you love the blues. That cat can make that sax sing!

The Swinging Harpoon Band entertained at the FSU Tailgate Night at CBN to launch the November music calendar.

Back to BB Kings again; they have decided to "go country" on Wednesday nights, with Tom Jackson, country DJs and a boots and bikini contest. This should be a popular midweek stop!

And they still observe the Blues Tradition with artists like Beautiful Bobby Blackmon from Central Florida, who really has great handle on the R&B as well as Hendrix:

World of Beer on Clematis is maintaining a schedule of bands 5 nights a week, and lots of other promotions to keep the Craft Beer Drinker happy and well entertained. Ever So Klever did a great job there lately, with some Pink Floyd thrown into the mix.

This is just a smattering of the videos to be seen at our YouTube site, so be sure and take a look there too for many more music videos. You can reach it by clicking the link below.
